Centrifuge mineral concentrators were first developed and patented in Australia in 1945. The units were never commercially marketed and the idea lay dormant for some 35 years.

By 1982 the patents had expired and by 1984 the first commercial Hy-G Concentrator was designed and manufactured by the late Mr. Don Brember after he was able to optimize the centrifuge concentrator technology by extensive lab and field work. The results were exceptional and the Hy-G concentrator became an integral part of many successful gold mines. The unique design and high quality of the Hy-G Mineral Centrifuge Concentrator provided miners exceptional performance and recovery, quickly setting the industry standard.

Mechanical Engineer and placer mining expert, Mr. Bill Steeves, has designed and built many successful gold recovery plants utilizing Hy-G concentrators over the past few decades. Mr. Steeves has played an integral part in the development and advancement of the Hy-G concentrator.

Production models are typically operated continuously for 24 hours before clean-out which adds extra gold to the day's gold recovery.

The high quality design of the Hy-G concentrators has resulted in some of the earliest models still being used today.

The Hy-G product line has continued to develop and expand to include lab models, test plants, and high capacity production models all focused on providing placer miners with the best available gold and mineral recovery by centrifugal concentration.

Hy-G Concentrators Inc. carries on a proud tradition of providing an exceptional machine that recovers more for the placer miner.
